Remedi Pharmaceutical wants to convert a roughly 8,000 square-foot portion of the two-acre warehouse into a self-contained medical marijuana production facility that would produce 2,000 kilograms of product annually.

A staff report notes the estimate is based on an industry standard of 40 grams of production per square foot of growing area and five crops per year.

At $5 per gram, the annual production could be worth an estimated $10 million annually, $38,500 per work day.

The total number of clients to be served by the facility is 1,100 per month.
