OrganiGram Receives Organic Certification

OrganiGram is pleased announce that its facility based in Moncton, NB, is the first medical marijuana production facility in Canada to receive internationally recognized organic certification. The company received its organic certification on October 10, 2014 from ECOCERT.

ECOCERT provides inspection and certification for sustainable development. The certification process includes validation of ingredients, production methods and preparation procedures according to Canadian and USDA regulation. Organic certification aims to guarantee the organic integrity of products throughout the entire production chain.

Randy Fleming, Master Grower states, “Growing organically allows us to provide our customers with the highest quality, chemical free medicine possible. We achieve this without the use of pesticides, synthetic nutrients, and without irradiation or cold pasteurization. Growing our product organically allows us to release the plants full genetic potential, delivering complex terpene profiles our customers will find very appealing.”

Organigram labels clearly read: “CERTIFIED ORGANIC BY ECOCERT”. What good is organic certification if you were able to produce and sell tainted product for almost a year? The pesticides Myclobutanil and Bifenazate were detected at higher levels than allowable on food, and nobody picked up on this? How can anyone trust your products after this?
And you’re trying to sweep it all under the carpet, hide what happened. Well it’s going as public as we can make it. People need to see what kind of crooked, greedy company rakes in millions from sick people and then poisons them with unapproved pesticides.
Organigram Holdings is bragging to its investors about the huge profit margins. Costs under $2 to produce, sells for $10 and up. This is information that the public is going to hear over and over and over until the message gets spread. So buckle up for a long ride, because this isn’t going away.
